Here's a place to check results and comment along with the latest airing of WWE NXT in its regular Wednesday night at 8PM Eastern time slot on WWE Network.
Check out our Wednesday morning preview post to get caught up on what's been happening, and what we expect this week.
We'll post match results here, and we will also have our regular reactions post later. In the meantime, and most importantly, this gives you Cagesiders a dedicated place to rave and/or bitch about whatever goes down on the best show WWE produces on a weekly basis - during its initial broadcast!
NOTE: Spoilers are out there for these pre-taped broadcasts (including here), but many Cagesiders don't partake. If you are going to post or discuss spoilers for this show before they happen, or results of future shows, please use the spoiler bar in your comment.
Enjoy the show!
- Samoa Joe has used his powers of persuasion to get ahold of NXT champ Shinsuke Nakamura's medical report. The champ won't need surgery, but he will be out six-to-twelve weeks. Joe wants the title vacated and delivered to him.
- General Manager William Regal comes out to say he hasn't talked to Nakamura, but Joe has caused a problem on NXT, and it's one he'll fix. Joe heads up the ramp and tells the GM if he doesn't meet his demands, his entire roster will have the same prognosis as Shinsuke. The former champ leaves while Regal seethes.
- Cedric Alexander makes his NXT debut against Andrade Almas later, and he tells Andrea D'Marco he's waited seven years for this opportunity and he plans to make the most of it.
- Asking the question many of us have, Charly Caruso asks Liv Morgan why she thinks she's ready for Asuka. While she talks about working harder, the Women's champ shows up to say "you think you're ready? Let's find out" and laugh in Morgan's face.
- Austin Aries def. Oney Lorcan via submission with Last Chancery
- On the mic, Aries says he's a man's man, so he would call Hideo Itami out, but since Itami is a coward, he wouldn't show. Hideo's music hits and Aries acts like he's willing to fight then scampers up the ramp when his rival gets to the ring.
- Dan Matha debuts on television in two weeks
- An interview with Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa from after their tag win at the CWC finale gets interrupted by The Revival. A brawl ends when DIY gets the upperhand and Dash & Dawson run off.
- Billie Kay def. Aliyah via pinfall following a big boot
- Mandy Rose tells Dasha Fuentes that Ember Moon doesn't look like a real NXT Superstar, and promises to eclipse her when they face off
- Cedric Alexander def. Andrade "Cien" Almas via pinfall following Lumbar Check
- They hesitantly shake hands after the match, then Cien pulls Alexander in for a hug and raises his hand in victory
