According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, Luke Harper has been medically cleared to return to the ring for WWE. The big man suffered a nasty leg injury during a Raw dark match back before WrestleMania. The company kept mum on the situation for a while, but it was eventually revealed Harper dislocated his patella and tore ligaments.
Reports were he’d be out six months, and if Ryan Satin’s sources are correct, it looks like those reports were right, too.
Of course, as Emma reminded us recently, being cleared and showing up on television are two different milestones. And, like Emma, Harper wasn’t picked when Raw and SmackDown put their rosters together, so it remains to be seen if he’ll rejoin Bray Wyatt on Tuesday nights, or head back out on his own with the red brand.
Other sources had Luke backstage at Raw last night (Sept. 19), but that may have been part of getting this medical clearance and not an indication he’ll work Mondays going forward.
Time will tell, but this is a great step for the former Intercontinental champ.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!
