Rumor Roundup (Sept. 2, 2016): Seth Rollins turn, Triple H return, Daniel Bryan deal, Bayley title shot, more!

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • WWE may be turning Seth Rollins babyface to challenge heel champion Kevin Owens, alongside Triple H, who, despite the reaction, is a heel.
  • Speaking of Triple H, his return was in the plans but not when it happened, as it was rushed because of the Finn Balor injury.
  • The Observer notes that Daniel Bryan's contract with WWE is no longer frozen because he's actively working and his deal doesn't expire until 2018.
  • Charlotte vs. Bayley is expected for the Clash of Champions pay-per-view, though there's no real chance they do a title change here.
  • Sasha Banks could be back on television as soon as next week but definitely before the end of the month.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it.
