Rumor Roundup special (possible spoilers) edition: WWE Raw returns, cruiserweight plans

There wouldn’t usually be a call for one of our special edition Rumor Round-up posts for a Raw in mid-September.

But with first red brand pay-per-view (PPV) coming up on Sunday (Sept. 25) and ratings trending downward for the last couple weeks - and having taken a big hit last week against Monday Night Football’s season premiere - WWE might have a few tricks up their sleeve to get eyeballs on the show tonight (Sept. 19).

Here’s a few of the items drifting around the internet this afternoon. Feel free to discuss, or share anything you've heard or read in the comments (usual rumor caveats* apply), and let's have fun.

• Paige is backstage in Memphis, according to PWInsider. It’s not apparent if she’s medically cleared from her back issues, but her suspension is up and the British wrestler and the company seem to have buried the hatchet, so she could be used in some capacity tonight.

• Also at the FedEx Forum is Luke Harper (again, per Insider). The former Intercontinental champ was undrafted when the brands were split, as he was out with a knee injury. But he’s been working out at the Performance Center and should be close to being cleared, if he’s not already.

• Chris Jericho is rumored to be working with the cruiserweights in some capacity tonight, as he’s a big name with a link to the division’s roots in WCW who can help TJ Perkins and company make a splash with the mainstream audience in 2016.

• Although he wasn’t listed among the CWC stars coming to Raw in the latest announcement, Jack Gallagher is supposedly booked for this week, according to Wrestling Inc’s sources.

• WWE officials are reportedly very high on Gallagher, and have big plans for the charismatic Englishman.
