Smarks classify 'Delete or Decay' as anything but OBSOLETE

Everybody who comes to Cageside Seats has an opinion about what's going on in pro wrestling - The Smark's Shoot Standings (S3) are where YOU let us know YOURS.

Cast a vote in the comments. Give us the four performers you think entertained or impressed the most in the last week, and feel free to talk about why. And/or vote for your top performer in our poll.

We also have the outcome of last week's voting, the results of which make up our annual competition for Performer of the Year.

Remember, the Standings are for the previous week's nationally televised and internet streaming pro wrestling shows - WWE's Backlash pay-per-view (PPV), the Sept. 12 episode of Monday Night Raw, Tuesday's SmackDown Live, Wednesday's Lucha Underground, WWE NXT, the Cruiserweight Classic finale and ROH TV, Thursday's TNA Impact and any other internet streaming wrestling that aired from Sept 11 - 17, 2016.

Make YOUR mark, smarks!

This happened...

...pretty sure further explanations aren't needed.

  • Both Broken Brothers and the mist-spewing witch who dared put her hands on King Maxell finished in the top ten, and they're representing for the heir to the Hardy name, Rebecca, Senor Benjamin, Vanguard1, Abyss/Joe Park and Crazzy Steve who all received support, but split votes in a crowded field are tough.
  • Raw's Universal champ, and the babyface-leaning guy who got a ton of mic time during the champ's celebration and a shot at the belt at next Sunday's PPV, represented for the red-brand amidst the TNAers.
  • Well, them and the Hugster, who is rapidly rising up the Standings since her call-up. With a pinfall victory over the Women's champ, she actually had a few more points than Decay's resident witch.
  • For the blue brand, the West Virginian who wants a double-wide for his kids is as popular here as he is everywhere else... and the then-World champ is still over with S3 voters when he stops acting the fool and brings the fire to sell his big matches.
  • LU returned, and probably doesn't do much to change the mind of folks who claim it's not a wrestling show when their owner character is the most popular act from the premiere episode.
  • Breaking a pattern over recent weeks, we only had one guy from the CWC in the top ten. And if TJP was singled out for a quarterfinal win, next week could be a big one for the Filipino sensation.
