Rumors for the Day:

• According to the Observer, WWE had actually decided to fire Paige but then changed their mind. Then she decided to quit but then changed her mind. Now, the two sides have mended fences enough that she'll return once she's healthy enough to.

• Even though WWE reported on the injury, apparently Vince McMahon wanted it kept quiet that he tore his quad while training.

• An all women's tournament, much like the Cruiserweight Classic, could be in the works for early 2017, according to PW Insider.

• WWE may run an NXT TakeOver event in Madison Square Garden before the year is out.

• Apparently tickets for Backlash were being given away in town the night before the show.
