Rusev returns to cost Roman Reigns his match against Kevin Owens, denying him a title shot

Then he beat the hell out of him.

WWE Twitter

Tonight (Sept. 12, 2016) on Raw from Baltimore, Maryland, Roman Reigns had a big opportunity. He was placed in a match against Kevin Owens where if he won, the Big Dog would be added to the Seth Rollins/Kevin Owens Universal title match at Clash of Champions.

The main event was a long bout that consisted of two parts. After Owens and Reigns had already beaten the hell out of each other for awhile, Seth Rollins ran out and attacked KO, who he’s had animosity towards. That resulted in a disqualification.

However, Mick Foley wouldn’t have it. He ordered the match restarted and Reigns and Owens continued to put on a show. Eventually Rusev, who about a month ago took a massive beating from Reigns, ran down to the ring. This was enough to distract Roman, allowing Owens to hit his Pop Up Powerbomb for the 1-2-3, denying The Guy the chance to fight for the Universal title.

Then, as further retribution, Rusev beat the hell out of Reigns as Raw went off the air.

Who’s excited to see the Bulgarian Brute back?
