Rumor Roundup (Sept. 12, 2016): Randy Orton injury, UFC 203 PPV buys, Tyson Kidd contract, more!

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • Pro Wrestling Sheet is reporting Randy Orton suffered a concussion at SummerSlam and he couldn't get cleared in time to wrestle at Backlash. PW Insider is saying it's possible he won't be able to wrestle Brock Lesnar at the house show in Chicago later this month because of it either.
  • According to Marc Raimondi, UFC 203 may have done anywhere between 650-700,000 pay-per-view buys, which would be a big success.
  • MLW noted recently that WWE renewed Tyson Kidd's contract months ago.
  • There is talk of another Dusty Rhodes Classic tag team tournament in NXT.
  • Lucha Underground is expected to tape for future seasons early next year. Furthermore, The Observer notes Lucha Underground may be doing house shows as early as next month.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it.
