Reports ran earlier today (Sun., Sept. 11, 2016) that Randy Orton wasn’t medically cleared to wrestle so he wouldn’t be working his scheduled match against Bray Wyatt at Backlash in Richmond, Virginia. Sure enough, WWE booked an injury angle where Wyatt targeted his leg.
When Bray came out later, he insisted on a 10 count and to be announced as the winner via forfeit. They did so and he got up on the second rope to proclaim “this is what god’s do.”
Then it was announced he would be wrestling in a No Holds Barred match against THE DEMON KANE. Wyatt had the match in hand until Orton actually showed up walking as slow as humanly possible down the ramp, selling the leg injury. That was until he got to the ring, where he hopped in, hit an RKO, and walked out.
Kane then hit a choke slam and scored a pinfall victory.
