Rumor Roundup (Sept. 10, 2016): Paige WWE status, Sasha Banks promo, Clash of Champions match, more!

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Rumors for the Day:

• Whether or not Paige is gone from WWE is apparently up in the air right now, with the story changing day by day, according to the Observer. They compared it to her being in the AJ Lee spot after CM Punk left but without the legal action. Meanwhile, PW Insider has said there are no plans for Paige even after her suspension comes up.

• Apparently there were multiple performers within WWE who were upset at the Sasha Banks fake retirement promo/angle that ran on Raw this week.

• Speaking of Sasha, according to the Observer the WWE web team was told to stop promoting the Charlotte vs. Banks title match at Clash of Champions and change stories where it may be mentioned so it doesn't say that anymore. It's unclear why.

• WWE has plans to make Lana a "much larger character" on Total Divas upcoming season, notes the Observer.

• WWE wants to do NXT TakeOver specials in conjunction with the big four events: Royal Rumble, WrestleMania, SummerSlam, and Survivor Series.
