The Headbangers told us they were coming back to WWE on SmackDown Live, then the company itself let us know a couple hours ahead of time to get us good and ready for it. Then they actually showed up at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, Texas tonight (Aug. 30) for a first round match in the tag team tournament against Rhyno & Heath Slater.
They lost.
Mosh & Thrasher didn’t get much of a reaction...

...because, you know, it’s 2016 and all that, but they did put their opponents over. So that’s good.
Rhyno and Slater will move on to wrestle the Hype Bros in the semifinals, with the victors meeting the winner of the American Alpha vs. Usos match at Backlash on Sept. 11 in Richmond, Virginia.
The Headbangers will probably disappear back into the darkness, as Thrasher mentioned the deal was only for one night when answering fan questions on his Twitter days ago.
So long!
