NXT live event results from Citrus Springs (Aug. 26): Mighty Shinsuke

Mary Ann Mason on Twitter

The Citrus Springs Community Center in Florida.

What happened?

- Kenneth Crawford def. Noah Potjes
- Ember Moon def. Aliyah
- Alexander Wolfe & Sawyer Fulton defeated Niko Bogojevic & Tucker Knight
- Adrian Jaoude def. Patrick Clark
- Bobby Roode def. No Way Jose
- Tye Dillinger def. Andrade “Cien” Almas
- Angelo Dawkins promo is interrupted by Crawford, who wants them to form a tag team
- Asuka & Daria Berenato def. Mandy Rose & Billie Kay
- Shinsuke Nakamura def. Wesley Blake to retain the NXT championship

What caught our eye?

The main takeaway, at least for a guy who counts on Twitter to put together these results posts, is that a lot of the usual Florida crowd (along with a few members of the NXT roster) must have been in Winter Park for the Cruiserweight Classic taping.

Izzy, on the other hand, was not. And, bad news for those that are sick of seeing her, she’s not going away just because her hero’s on Raw:

Great to see Crawford back in action, and with a bit of angle, since he left this venue on a back board about four months ago.

He’s not taking the lift with him to Sunshine State house shows, but Roode is still...

Dillinger/Cien is ripe for interpretation. Almas continues to tone down his pimp gear:

But he also took a roll-up loss to the Perfect Ten, who seems to be getting a mid-card push.

The main event, while maybe lacking in star power, was said to deliver. A solid match with stretches of comedy.

What's next?

Saturday night in Jacksonville.
