WWE made a big deal of Nikki Bella becoming the newest Superstar to join the SmackDown Live roster on tonight’s (Aug. 23, 2016) show in Uncasville, Connecticut. She was booked in a match with Carmella, which seemed somewhat strange considering Nikki was given a babyface reaction at SummerSlam for her big return despite working with the heel team, and Carmella was working babyface on the other side of that very match.

Indeed, Carmella, who was dying the worst death each time she went out and tried to get over as a good gal, went bad by attacking Nikki before the bell and never allowing the match to get started. That got more reaction than anything she’s done since she was called up to the main roster, including her debut.
Here’s to hoping it helps kick start a solid run for her.
