Fatal 4Way between Roman Reigns, Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins & Big Cass to determine new WWE Universal champion next week on Raw

The details were a little murky at the outset of the evening, but by the end of Raw tonight (Aug. 22), we know how WWE will crown the next Universal champion.

The first man to win the belt, Finn Bálor, relinquished it due to a shoulder injury which will require surgery and keep him out of the ring for six months. And over the course of four matches in Brooklyn, we now have the participants in a Fatal 4Way to crown his successor, which will take place in Houston next Monday.

Seth Rollins defeated Sami Zayn early on, then (with some help from his tag partner Chris Jericho) Kevin Owens pinned Neville. Rusev walked out of his match, forfeiting a shot at the belt and earning Big Cass a big opportunity. Then in Raw’s main event, Roman Reigns overcame interference by Owens to beat Jericho.

So one of those four - Rollins, Reigns, KO or Cass - will claim the red strap next week.
