After her second loss to Asuka this past Saturday, Aug. 20, 2016, at TakeOver: Brooklyn II, fans were predicting former NXT Women’s champion Bayley’s promotion to the main roster was imminent.
The news of Sasha Banks’ injury - even with the latest positive update - further fueled speculative fires. Charlotte needs a #1 contender, after all.
The now two-time WWE Women’s titleholder was out to taunt the Universe and Sasha Banks over her win, and she was ready to take the rest of the night off.
General Manager Mick Foley had other plans.
Mick announced Banks would get a rematch as soon as she returned from injury. But first, he had the pleasure of announcing the signing of the hottest free agent in pro wrestling. And he didn’t mean Heath Slater.

She’s here, and after a hug (and some cheap pop) to seal the deal...

The Hugster made her intentions known. She may respect her fellow Horsewoman (even with Charlotte’s little dig about being left behind), but she misses holding a championship belt!

Champion’s privledge and all, the Nature Girl said she’s not fighting on anyone else’s timetable, but she did offer up her apprentice Dana Brooke, and the will be Bayley’s first main roster singles match.
