Michael Cole opened Raw with even more bad news about Finn Bálor and his shoulder.
WWE.com’s article announcing his injury only stated that he might need surgery. Before Commissioner Stephanie McMahon and General Manager Mick Foley welcomed Finn down the ramp to relinquish the title he just won, becoming the first WWE Universal champion in history, lead announcer Cole delivered what many considered the worst case scenario.
Bálor has torn labrum, which will require surgery. Recovery time is estimated at six months.
You can rest assured that @FinnBalor will come back better than EVER for the @WWE #UniversalTitle! #RAW https://t.co/6DB8sDJGp9
