UPDATE: New details are out, kissing included.
Well, this is interesting.
The Wrestling Observer is reporting that there was a shoot confrontation at last night’s (Sun., Aug. 21, 2016) WWE SummerSlam event at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York but it didn’t occur during the Brock Lesnar vs. Randy Orton match as many believed and has been rumored. No, it occurred backstage after said match.
Apparently, and this is according to the Observer’s sources, there was a physical confrontation between Lesnar and Chris Jericho. This started because the latter of which came to the Gorilla position to check up on Orton after he was busted open (see the gnarly photo here) and Lesnar took issue with it.
There may have been name calling and the two tussled before it was broken up by Triple H and Vince McMahon. It was noted that Orton assured Jericho everything was planned and he was fine.
As mentioned earlier here, Lesnar is not currently scheduled to appear on tonight’s episode of Monday Night Raw at the same venue. No word on if any disciplinary action will be handed down for this, although the Observer notes Vince reportedly told Jericho, who was yelling about Lesnar, that it was all a work and to be professional.
Stay tuned for any more details.
