In response to a crowd more focused on letting Raw Commissioner Stephanie McMahon and General Manager Mick Foley know they disliked the design of the new WWE Universal championship than his title match with Finn Bálor, Seth Rollins got on Twitter and took the New York crowd to task:
More important than a title's appearance is what it represents for the men fighting over it. You really let me down tonight, Brooklyn.
— Seth Rollins (@WWERollins) August 22, 2016
The SummerSlam crowd, some of whom were in town for a weekend full of wrestling from WWE, NXT and EVOLVE as well as other events related to those shows, was clearly beginning to lose focus heading into the fifth hour after doors opened at Barclays Center. Justified or not, however, their behavior - and Rollins comments - will once again fire up the debate on what constitutes a “good” crowd, how fans should voice their displeasure and more.
What did you think of the Brooklyn audience? Does Seth have a legitimate right to be let down by the fans?
