Goodbye Cedric Alexander?

Được đăng bởi PWX Wrestling 21 Tháng 8 2016

Yesterday at PWX Scout’s Honor, Cedric Alexander fell short in his attempt to defeat Jake Manning and become a two-time PWX Heavyweight Champion. Following the match, the champion put him over at length, saying that he’d never been tested like that before and that Cedric makes for a great role model for people of all ages, because he’s proven that there’s success out there. Cedric then got on the mic and I’ve transcribed what he had to say right here:

I promised myself I wouldn’t cry this time. (“Liar!”) Oh, I almost did. It’s no secret that, uh, I’m being heavily scouted by the WWE. (“You deserve it!” chants) Oh, don’t start that again. But, as much as I don’t know, I really don’t know if I’m gonna be signed or if I’m not, but it is with a heavy heart that I do have to say that tonight is my last PWX match for the foreseeable future. (“Oh, no!”) Yes, I know, it sucks. But one last time, I want to thank everyone here for the support— whether you cheered me or whether you booed me, you gave me a reaction. (“Thank you, Cedric!” chants)

A lot of you guys don’t know this, but you all know I spent a lot of time in Ring of Honor, right? The last two years in that company almost made me want to quit wrestling, because I wasn’t happy. I wasn’t being used the way I thought I should have been. And it’s not because I’m cocky or I’m arrogant, or I think I’m the best thing in the world, which I am. No, but in all seriousness, they looked at my talent, and they squandered it! And for those two years, PWX helped save my career, because if I wasn’t here, I honestly would have quit. Thank you very, very much from the bottom of my heart. I love all of you!

Following his promo, as “Best in the world!” chants rung out, Anthony Henry attacked him, because this is a pro wrestling show, and proclaimed over Cedric’s prone body that this is his show. (And, sidebar, Mr. Henry is quite an exceptional pro wrestler in his own right, folks. If you get a chance to check out some of his work, say in the 2016 Scenic City Invitational, you won’t regret it.)

There you have it, Cagesiders. He still isn’t quite saying it outright, but it’s pretty clear that Mr. Hs is, in fact, signing Cedric Alexander. Everybody excited?
