Rumors for the Day:
- Sasha Banks losing the Women’s title just weeks after she won it on Raw and WrestlingInc reporting she’d been removed from house shows for the next 33 days prompted a lot of chatter during SummerSlam. PWInsider says the decision to drop the belt was made last week, as she needs time off to deal with nagging injuries.
- While some of the SummerSlam ending was likely ad-libbed due to the severity of the injury to Randy Orton, the Shane McMahon confrontation and F5 were planned, per the Observer.
- Also per Dave Meltzer, what looked like a jaw injury for Samoa Joe at the end of his loss to Shinsuke Nakamura on Saturday was a work done for storyline purposes.
- Other sources say Joe and Bayley have remained in Brooklyn after TakeOver, and may debut on the main roster during tonight’s episode of Raw.
- Eric Young’s WWE contract is said to be done, and he should be debuting at the next Full Sail taping.
