NXT TakeOver Brooklyn II Results: Ember Moon hits the O-Face to defeat Billie Kay in her debut

Tonight (Aug. 20, 2016) at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn II at the Barclays Center, Ember Moon, formerly known as Athena, made her long awaited debut. The woman who would serve as her introductory match is Billie Kay, who has been extremely full of herself since she had one match on SmackDown a month back (a match that she lost.)

Ember Moon played up a “wolf” theme, with a primal howl during the match and contacts that made her eyes red, which fit with the blood moon hype videos we got for weeks prior to this debut.

In the early part of the match, it was Billie Kay who was showing off, controlling much of the match, not allowing the debuting Moon to show off what she could do. However, eventually, Ember was able to fight back and show some of what her buzz was all about with some stiff kicks that quickly lead to the anticipated finish.

And Brooklyn, and the greater NXT Universe, got to see Moon’s “O-Face” finisher, many for the first time. Both Tom Phillips and Corey Graves put over how impressive that move looked. What we don’t have yet is a name for the impressive finisher, but that will come soon.
