The latest Wrestling Observer Radio (subscription required but recommended) has a bevy of information about the WWE Wellness Policy suspensions we’ve been reporting on this week, which impacted Alberto Del Rio, Paige & Eva Marie.

There were rumors that Brock Lesnar’s failed tests from the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) while he was with UFC for a fight against Mark Hunt in July prompted WWE to initiate a wave of random tests among talent. It’s believed the three people suspended this week’s positive samples came from those. There’s also word that the more frequent testing will remain the norm for now, which could explain the rumors of more suspensions coming up shortly.

Regarding Del Rio and Paige, Dave Meltzer says they did not test positive for the same substance. Paige has several years left on her WWE contract and is not expected to be leaving any time soon. Meltzer reiterated reports the Mexican Superstar has an out clause on his deal in September, and believes there’s a good chance he exercises it.

Also confirmed were reports that Eva Marie’s failed test was for Adderall, the same substance the Observer reported Roman Reigns was suspended for back in June.

While Meltzer was clear that none of the suspensions are part of an angle for any show, he said there’s currently no word on whether or not Paige and Eva will be allowed to continue filming Total Divas while suspended.
