Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • Plans don’t call for SmackDown Live to introduce women’s and tag championships until after SummerSlam. WWE doesn’t want to feel forced into working those new title bouts onto the show, even at four hours.

  • Sasha Banks & Charlotte’s title match on the July 25th Raw went over really well with WWE higher-ups. Dave Meltzer says key management people thought the women "really delivered".

  • There’s been some talk of bringing Ric Flair back, possibly to manage someone who would feud with Charlotte after she’s done with the Banks’ program.

  • According to the Observer, Paul Heyman did sign a new contract with WWE prior to his appearance on Raw last night.

  • Current NXT striking coach and former MMA professional Seth Petruzelli is training in the ring and may be considering taking independent bookings.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it.
