Yet another wrestler has been suspended for 30 days for their first violation of the WWE Wellness Policy. Just yesterday it was announced that Alberto Del Rio and Paige would be on the shelf and this time it’s Eva Marie, as announced by the company just moments ago:
WWE has suspended Natalie Coyle (Eva Marie) for 30 days effective immediately for her first violation of the company’s talent wellness policy.
No word just yet on what caused said violation. Marie had been scheduled to wrestle in a six-woman tag team match at SummerSlam this Sun., Aug. 21, 2016, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. WWE has yet to announce what will happen with that match.
Eva was in the middle of a storyline where she would be booked for matches on SmackDown Live only to have something go wrong at the last minute that would prevent her from doing so. That’s led to obvious speculation this is a part of said storyline but there is no reason to think that is the case here.
