Charlotte has never lost a singles match on a WWE pay-per-view

WWE.com

The folks at ESPN put together an in-depth look at some interesting numbers for every match on the upcoming SummerSlam pay-per-view (PPV) scheduled for this Sun., Aug. 21, 2016, at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York. What stood out to me are the numbers on former Divas/Women’s Champion Charlotte, who will challenge Sasha Banks for the title she lost on Raw weeks ago:

Charlotte is 7-1 in pay-per-view matches in 2016, the most pay-per-view wins of any competitor in the WWE this year, male or female. She is 13-2 all-time in WWE pay-per-view matches, including a perfect 11-0 in singles matches. No WWE superstar in history has had a better record through their first 15 pay-per-view matches.

Of course, Charlotte is coming off a 309-day run as champion but it’s always been clear WWE saw more in Flair than perhaps any other call up from NXT at the start of the so-called “Divas revolution.”

Except maybe Sasha, who she will wrestle this Sunday. There’s little reason to believe, beyond these numbers, that Banks will be losing, which means she’s getting ready to become the “1” in “11-1.”

Cool.
