Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • There's some speculation going around that Undertaker may be making a future appearance on WWE television, perhaps as soon as SummerSlam.
  • Jon Stewart's appearance at SummerSlam is expected to be an in-ring segment that WWE hopes will get plenty of media attention after the show.
  • Expect the women's championship coming to SmackDown Live to be decided on at the first blue brand exclusive Network special, Backlash.
  • While viewership for Raw has been down, those within WWE apparently aren't panicking thinking the summer Olympics has a lot to do with lower than usual numbers.
  • PW Insider notes WWE has registered trademarks for Gran Metalik, so he may be signed for the cruiserweight division coming to Raw.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it.
