Battle royal for an Intercontinental title shot set for Raw next week in Detroit

WWE has been running champion vs. champion matches of late, with The Miz taking on Dean Ambrose while they sort out who exactly they want to become top contender to the Intercontinental title. Now, we know how they’re going to do so.

A good ol’ fashioned battle royal on next week’s episode of Monday Night Raw in Detroit.

WWE.com has the word:

The Miz narrowly managed to save his Intercontinental Championship a couple of weeks ago on Raw, but The A-Lister will have to return to set very soon: A Battle Royal to determine his No. 1 contender will unfold this on Raw in Detroit, and it’s anyone’s guess as to who will step up to challenge the reigning titleholder.

No participants for the match have been announced, but you can expect that to come on the Raw pre-show.
