News broke today that Brock Lesnar has been flagged by USADA for a potential anti-doping violation on a drug test taken on June 28, just over a week before he returned to MMA in a win over Mark Hunt at UFC 200. As noted in the statement released by UFC, “there is a full fair legal review process that is afforded to all athletes before any sanctions are imposed.” That means there’s time to clear up any possible misunderstanding, whatever that may be.

Having said that, his status with WWE immediately came into question, considering he is currently scheduled to wrestle Randy Orton at SummerSlam on Aug. 21 in Brooklyn. A short time ago, the company provided a statement on the matter:

Brock Lesnar has not performed for WWE since WrestleMania and is not scheduled to return until Sunday, Aug. 21.

They also ran a basic news story on WWE.com reporting the issue.

It seems clear WWE is waiting for Lesnar to get his due process before making any decision on the matter.
