A title change, building to Bound for Glory and more Hardy drama at this week’s TNA Impact tapings (full spoilers from July 12 - 13)

TNA Wrestling on Twitter

Thanks to Broken Matt Hardy and his home videos, Impact Wrestling has some buzz about it for the first time in a long time.

This past Tuesday (July 12), they aired one of their slightly-delayed “live” episodes, and they taped more footage for their once again Thursday airing program throughout the week.

While it obviously won’t include anything Hardy and his crew film in Cameron, North Carolina - or similar angles TNA decides to run with to capitalize on the craze they helped build - here’s a rundown of the action which was filmed on the Universal Orlando backlot known as the Impact Zone:

Taped Tuesday, July 12

- Madison Rayne def. Allie

– Robbie E def. Baron Dax

- Mahabali Shera def. Al Snow

Impact (for Thursday, July 21)

- Matt Hardy def. James Storm in a Bound for Glory playoff

- Maria Kanellis delivered a “State of the Knockouts” to current champ Sienna, Gail Kim, Jade, Madison Rayne, Allie, and Marti Bell. Kim demanded her match with Maria, but Kanellis said she’d have to go through all the women in the ring without losing to earn her shot - and if she is defeated, she can never have another Knockouts title match. The First Lady promised a reward to anyone who could take out the future Hall of Famer, and Rayne attacked Kim, saying everyone has to look out for themselves.

- Ethan Carter III cut a promo about the BFG playoff, and was interrupted by Drew Galloway. Eli Drake came out to address both of them, and set up the next match.

- EC3 def. Eli Drake in a BFG playoff

- Drew Galloway def. Bram in a BFG playoff

Taped Wednesday, July 13

For One Night Only: Xtravaganza pay-per-view (PPV)

- Chuck Taylor def. Rockstar Spud

- DJ Z def. Jonathan Gresham

Impact (for Thursday, July 28)

- Mike Bennett def. Jeff Hardy in a BFG playoff. Matt & Reby were ringside mocking Jeff, who was still selling his Final Deletion injuries.

- Lashley def. Eddie Edwards in a Six-Sides of Steel match to claim the X-Division title. He now holds that and TNA’s World championship.

- Gail Kim def. Madison Rayne

- EC3 def. Matt Hardy in a BFG playoff to advance to the final. The Broken One tried to order his brother to interfere, but Brother Nero wasn’t having it.

- Moose def. David Starr

- James Storm was Eli Drake’s guest on “Fact of Life”. They used this to book a match where if Drake beats The Cowboy, Storm can never drink beer again.

- Mike Bennett def. Drew Galloway in a BFG playoff to advance to the final. Moose was interferring on Bennett’s behalf, so EC3 came out to even the odds, but ended up hitting Galloway with a kendo stick and costing him the match.

They’re taping again tonight, which will include more ONO matches (scheduled to include names like JT Dunn, Shynron, David Starr, Marshe Rockett, and Caleb Konley).
