Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • Vince McMahon could decide who will run Raw and SmackDown after the brand split tonight.
  • Neither Brock Lesnar nor Paul Heyman will be at Raw tonight but WWE is expected to heavily push Brock's big win at UFC 200.
  • The Observer has noted that Dean Ambrose was planned to lose the WWE championship at Battleground before Roman Reigns was suspended but that plan may have changed.
  • If it hasn't, Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins is likely the WWE title match at SummerSlam this year.
  • Other matches planned for SummerSlam include Brock Lesnar vs. Randy Orton, John Cena vs. AJ Styles, and Sasha Banks vs. Charlotte (likely Banks' big title victory).
