Brock Lesnar’s return to the Octagon after five years away was a successful one, as he defeated Mark Hunt via unanimous decision in an impressive performance at tonight’s (Sat., July 9, 2016) UFC 200 pay-per-view (PPV) at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada. After, he gave an interview to Joe Rogan in the cage and while he didn’t want to address his future in the fight game, he did want to send a political message amidst turmoil in the United States over recent police shootings:
"I'm so happy to be in here. One thing I do want to do -- America, a shout out to the men in uniform that protect and serve this country, from sea to shining sea. From one white boy to all nationalities, we gotta stand together, people."
The live crowd responded well to the message and the production team at UFC was undoubtedly thankful he didn’t say anything controversial like he did in his post-fight interview back at UFC 100.
