Everybody who comes to Cageside Seats has an opinion about what's going on in pro wrestling - The Smark's Shoot Standings (S3) are where YOU let us know YOURS.
Cast a vote in the comments. Give us the four performers you think entertained or impressed the most in the last week, and feel free to talk about why. And/or vote for your top performer in our poll.
We also have the outcome of last week's voting, the results of which make up our annual competition for Performer of the Year.
Remember, the Standings are for the previous week's nationally televised and internet streaming pro wrestling shows - the July 4 episode of WWEMonday Night Raw, Tuesday's TNA Impact, Wednesday's Ultima Lucha Dos, WWE NXT and ROH TV, Thursday's SmackDown, and any other internet streaming wrestling that aired from July 3 - 9, 2016.
Make YOUR mark, smarks!
BOO THIS MAN

- You apparently don’t want to, especially now that he’s the mouthpiece being used to run down the suspended "brother" he’ll face at Battleground. You still love the crazy one with the belt who’ll be there too, though.
- Insert bitter statement from a Sasha mark about how you Smarks vote for the Irish one just for showing up (j/k... kind of, stopping Natalya from talking was heroic, but The Boss is de factor #1 contender).
- The Phenomenal One finishes in a position other than first or second for the first time this year, a Pixie Hulk gives folks hope for a Horsewomen-free NXT future.
- New Day’s Doctor of Positivity succeeds in doing what no one since Daniel Bryan has been able to do - make the Wyatts scary. The Swiss Superman was a joy to watch while almost winning back the only title he’s ever held in WWE.
- Seven dieties got a #Broken man ready for a battle in Cameron, and the avatar of the Jaguar tribe started working his way through his dream team partners in Boyle Heights.
The S3: 2016-17, Week 13

Points in our weekly Standings determine our annual list - full details on rules and scoring HERE.
Some folks speculated that AJ has already won our fifth year, and that’s certainly a safe bet... but not necessarily a sure thing. He’d need to fall out of the top ten for a number of weeks while someone else consistently finished near the top. There are no signs of that happening right now. We didn’t see KO storming past an injured Architect last Winter, either, though.
The upcoming brand split, and the disappearance of Lucha Underground from the voting for a while, makes the next several months very difficult to predict. And there’s always the fun of seeing where everyone else finishes!
The S3 Performer of the Year - through the Week Ending July 2
1. AJ Styles - 123 points
2. Kevin Owens - 68
3. Roman Reigns - 47
4. Cesaro - 42.5
5. Dean Ambrose - 42
6. Seth Rollins - 32
7. John Cena - 27
8. Cage - 26.5
9. Sami Zayn - 21.5
10. Becky Lynch - 20
Check your notes and place your votes. We offer the following sections for reference - Raw, Impact, NXT, Smackdown, Lucha Underground, and the wide world of international/independent wrestling (heck, you may even want to consider a UFC fighter).
We’ll see you back here next week to let you know how it all shook out!
