NXT is back in Winter Park, Florida for a show at their home base of Full Sail Live, where they'll tape matches and segments for their regular Wednesday night series on WWE Network.
After last night's TakeOver special, we'll be looking for follow-up from a couple developments and signs for how they'll begin the build to August's TakeOver: Brooklyn event.
Samoa Joe would appear to have finally moved past Finn Bálor, so who will next challenge for the NXT title? Shinsuke Nakamura? A debuting Bobby Roode?
Speaking of debuts, we'll be looking to learn more about Paul Ellering's new monster tag team. Is American Alpha sticking around to deal with them? Will Chad Gable & Jason Jordan demand a rematch against The Revival for the belts?
How's Bayley's knee? Will Ember Moon make an appearance?
Possible answers to those questions and others in these results for the tapings in Winter Park, Florida. We'll be updating those here live, starting at the scheduled 7:30PM Eastern bell time:
- Tucker Knight def. Patrick Clark (dark match)
June 15
- Backstage promo from Samoa Joe, sounds similar (possibly identical to) the one WWE uploaded after last night
- Paul Ellering leads the Authors of Pain out to destroy local talent
- Carmella def. Tessa Blanchard via submission
- TM-61 def. Blake & Murphy (without Alexa). Blake hits Murphy with a clothesline meant for Shane Thorne, and Murphy yells at him after the match.
- Andrade "Cien" Almas def. Tye Dillinger. Dillinger super-over while Cien got a mixed reaction, although the crowd popped for his finishing stuff.
- Finn Bálor is out to address "what’s next for Finn?" - Shinsuke Nakamura interupts and says Bálor may not be champ any more, but he’s an icon. In order to become champ, Shinsuke believes he has to beat the icon of NXT. Bálor says lets do it. No word on when the match will take place.
June 22
- Ember Moon def. Mandy Rose (this looks like another dark match) - Moon won with the O-Face
- Oney Lorcan (Biff Busick/Chris Girard) def. Tye Dillinger when Tye was distracted by "10" chants
- No Way Jose def. Josh Woods
- Austin Aries comes out for a promo, says he had sore ribs at The End..., but he can't make excuses. He talked to Jose after his loss to Nakamura, and wondered what he could learn from him. He says he learned it's all about having fun in NXT, and then he dances with Jose. Mid-dance, he hits him with the rolling elbow and slaps on Last Chancery for the full heel turn.
- Bayley def. Deonna Purrazzo
- Nia Jax def. Liv Morgan
- Dillinger calls out Almas (sounds like they were re-taping something from early as the bell never rang)
- Shinsuke Nakamura def. Murphy
June 29
- Alexa Bliss def. Carmella in what was described as a good, long match that the crowd wasn't that into
- Andrade "Cien" Almas def. Noah while the crowd chants "We Want Tye"
- Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa def. Hype Bros
- Gargano & Ciampa get on the microphone and say they want a title shot. That brings out American Alpha, who say they will take care of the Authors of Pain AND get their titles back. The Revival appear, and General Manager William Regal comes out to announce a best two-out-of-three falls match between Gable & Jordan & Dash & Dawson (they don't say when).
- The face teams in the ring shake hands, and Gzim Selmani & Sunny Dhinsi show up and take everyone out. Paul Ellering looks on approvingly from the ramp.
- Samoa Joe def. Oney Lorcan (possible dark match)
