Titus O'Neil gets title shot, is immediately asked about WWE suspension

It was announced earlier today that Titus O'Neil would challenge Rusev for the United States championship at Money in the Bank on June 19, 2016, at the T-Mobile Arena in Paradise, Nevada. It's his first feud since returning to television following a 60 day suspension for inappropriately touching Vince McMahon during Daniel Bryan's retirement ceremony on an episode of Monday Night Raw earlier this year.

They positioned the reveal to come while O'Neil was doing a sit-down interview with Michael Cole for WWE.com. Immediately after "learning" the news, Titus is asked to address his suspension and, like he always does, he knocked one out of the park with this answer:

"As I've said time and time again, it was a negative that I feel like I've turned into a positive. I've done that by having more time to be a father, more time to be a son, more time to be a brother. And seeing things outside of WWE and being able to do things, expand on the things that I do within WWE, the community services efforts, things that I do with sports, and bettering the relationships with all those that I truly love around me, I have had time to do that. As you know in this job, time is very spare in some situations."

O'Neil is beloved in the pro wrestling world -- look no further than how much his good friend Batista stood up for him following his suspension -- in part because of what you just read. Will it lead to his winning a title at a relatively big show?

Stay tuned.
