After TakeOver: The End... next Wednesday, the stars of NXT will head across the Atlantic for several dates in Ireland and the United Kingdom.
Based on his response via Twitter, the tour will include an old friend:
See you at@DownloadFest https://t.co/9Fu2JJIyNd
— Baron Corbin (@BaronCorbinWWE) June 3, 2016
The news that the Lone Wolf would be taking time off from his long feud with Dolph Ziggler to make the trip surprised former NXT champ Finn Bálor (and judging by his choice of emojis, bored him to sleep):
@BaronCorbinWWE I thought we saw the last of you Corbin? @DownloadFest @WWEUK @WWENXT @LiveNationUK @itsBayleyWWE @ShinsukeN @TripleH
— Finn Bálor (@wwebalor) June 3, 2016
Baron Corbin updated the Irishman, and the many co-workers, bosses and sponsors Bálor tagged in his response, on his status:
@wwebalor @DownloadFest @WWEUK @WWENXT @LiveNationUK @itsBayleyWWE @ShinsukeN @TripleH nope you are stuck with me #4life
— Baron Corbin (@BaronCorbinWWE) June 3, 2016
At which point, Finn backed off on his personal feelings about Baron joining the UK tour, but emphasized that others would be less excited:
@BaronCorbinWWE no matter what EVERYONE always says about you.. I think you are ok @WWEUK @WWENXT @itsBayleyWWE @ShinsukeN @TripleH
— Finn Bálor (@wwebalor) June 3, 2016
If you've seen much Breaking Ground, this is an interesting one with which to play work or shoot. That show featured contrived scenarios typical of 'reality' shows, but Corbin being surly and therefore unpopular seemed legit.
We'll have to wait and see if Hunter, Bayley or Shinsuke weigh in to confirm or deny any of this - not that Baron cares.
