Starting to get the feeling Cody Rhodes' famous Tweet of last weekend wasn't a "wish list". Either he has access to a genie who can make these things a reality very quickly, or that was more of a "to do" list based on inside information...
We still don't know who Rhodes will face in Joppa, Maryland on August 19 for his coming out party (my money's on Chris Hero), but Gabe Sapolsky confirmed that Cody will be on EVOLVE 66.
It's also been revealed that the former WWE Intercontinental champ's match with Kurt Angle won't be his only appearance for Northeast Wrestling the following weekend, either. On August 26, the night before he faces the Olympian, he'll battle TNA's Mike "The Miracle" Bennett in Pittsfield, Massachusetts.
Of note for that performance - probably because wherever Bennett goes, his wife Maria Kanellis is sure to follow - Cody's wife is also billed. We still don't know exactly what the former Eden Stiles will do with her awesome weirdness outside of WWE, but she'll be appearing in Pittsfield as Brandi Rhodes on Friday the 26th of August.
At this rate, you have to think we'll be hearing from Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, New Japan and Ring of Honor about some of those other names soon.
