Why Wait? (a Lucha Underground preview)

Ultima Lucha Dos starts next week. So, we should probably expect a downbeat episode where nothing much happens, right?

Well, if you think that... do you even Lucha, bro?

Last week just wrapped with confirmation of Prince Puma and Rey Mysterio testing their mettle against one another. The third member of their Trios dream team, El Dragon Azteca, Jr. learned the person he thought was his ally (and opponent at UL2), Black Lotus, actually killed his master.

Tonight, Puma and Azteca get a chance to warm-up when they face each other one-on-one.

We already know Pentagon, Jr. gets a chance at revenge, and the Lucha Underground title, when he faces Matanza at Ultima Lucha Dos. The entire Gift of the God match field was set last week when Dario Cueto awarded Aztec medallions to Night Claw, Sexy Star, Mariposa, Marty Martinez, Killshot, Sinestro de la Muerte & Daga.

We can see some other matches - like Taya vs. Ivelisse, and something involving the Trios champs and Fenix, Drago & AeroStar (especially considering the title of tonight’s episode). Plus they have to do something with Mil Muertes getting revenge for being kept in King Cuerno’s trophy room...

Wait. What? They’re doing this tonight?!?!

And that’s before we even get to the promise of a fresh “unique opportunity” from El Jefe.
