WWE may be signing old stars for its new era

WWE is just one month away from SmackDown going live on Tuesday nights. In an effort to revitalize the show, not to mention the promotion as a whole, the company has decided to bring back the brand split. That means there will be two unique rosters exclusive to both shows. Obviously, they’re going to need a lot of talent to pull this off.

That could include bringing back a few stars from the past.

One of the big selling points of a brand split is the opportunity it will create to make new stars out of talented wrestlers who weren’t getting a chance to shine otherwise. This doesn’t give much confidence that WWE is thinking that way, although there is a need for some established veterans to put those talented wrestlers over in an attempt to make them stars.

If WWE does indeed bring back some old timers, who would you like to see return?

For more on this report, head here for a follow-up concerning some big names WWE has allegedly contacted.
