NXT live event results from Bournemouth (June 16): It pays to be Team Rude

Where?

Bournemouth International Centre

What Happened?

- No Way Jose def. Angelo Dawkins
- Bayley & Carmella def. Alexa Bliss & Nia Jax
- Tye Dillinger def. Hugo Knox
- Andrade “Cien” Almas def. Austin Aries
- Shinsuke Nakamura def. Bobby Roode
- The Revival def. American Alpha to retain the tag team championship
- Asuka def. Peyton Royce to retain the Women’s championship
- Finn Bálor def. Samoa Joe via disqualification; Joe retains the NXT championship

What caught our eye?

Didn’t know I had people in Bournemouth...

Of course, we seem to be in the minority:

Everyone loved Baymella, of course, but Nia & Alexa have come up for a name for themselves, too. It’s the usual awkwardness of Facebook Q & A, but watch Team Rude’s video if you want to be charmed by them:

Aries reportedly delivered a heel promo before his match with Almas, not that that’s exactly news, but with people paying attention to Cien (and Dillinger)’s alignment these days, thought it worth mentioning.

So much for concerns that Scott Dawson was injured, as Revival/AA and Nakamura/Roode were pretty universally touted as match of the night. I’m giving the nod to the tag champs for some quality banter:

Changed things up in the main event, where the champ was DQ-ed for using a steel chair. Finn, of course, got his heat back and closed the show with a “We are NXT” message for the fans.
