His tag team partner, Dash Wilder, tweeted — then deleted — the following response to him: “You didn’t get into the 'business' for fans to chant 'we are awesome' while distracting from a match?"
As pro wrestling has become more inclusive, crowd chanting has gotten worse and worse, though that may be a matter of perspective. It’s a debate that will likely rage on forever, with no right or wrong answer.
Chant all you want — just know you run the risk of pissing off the people who are actually performing for you.
