NXT live event results from Dublin (June 14): Nakamura vs. Roode

Rob O’Sullivan on Twitter

3Arena in Dublin, Ireland

What Happened?

- Hugo Knox def. Tye Dillinger
- Andrade “Cien” Almas def. Wesley Blake
- American Alpha def. Alexander Wolfe & Sawyer Fulton
- No Way Jose def. Austin Aries
- Asuka def. Peyton Royce to retain the Women’s championship
- Shinsuke Nakamura def. Bobby Roode
- Bayley & Carmella def. Alexa Bliss & Nia Jax
- Samoa Joe def. Finn Bálor

What caught our eye?

They seem set on the heel path for the Perfect Ten, who insulted Ireland football to try to get booed. Meanwhile, the tag champs can draw heat without even appearing on the card.

Dance attacks are fun and all, but who would’ve predicted Aries losing (okay, anyone who reads the taping spoilers, since they’re kind of giving away the angle they ran there, but...)?

Speaking of spoiler/not spoiler, you know Nakamura/Roode at a house show would end this way, so might as well get eyes on it:

Welcome home, former champ.

What a special night for the hometown Superstar, @wwebalor! #NXTDublin

Guess when you’ve been treated to Roode vs. Nakamura, you can forgive the returning son taking a loss - helps that they ran the “Joe with a handful of tights, takes Coup de Grâce in the aftermath” finish.
