This week’s episode of Monday Night Raw was always going to take a hit, considering it was up against a potential series clinching NBA Finals game pitting the wildly popular Golden State Warriors against LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers. That game did over 20 million viewers on ABC.
The hope was the show would at least stay over 3 million viewers, considering it was the go home episode to the upcoming Money in the Bank pay-per-view this weekend.
It did not.
Indeed, Raw drew just 2.97 million viewers, down from last week’s 3.25 million. The hourly breakdown:
Hour one: 3.04 million
Hour two: 3.10 million
Hour three: 2.75 million
The first hour ran unopposed and was still the lowest drawing first hour of 2016. The second and third hours also set new lows for their respective time slots. There should be recovery next week for all the fallout from Money in the Bank and the fact that WWE won't have to run up against the NBA Finals anymore.
