Everybody who comes to Cageside Seats has an opinion about what's going on in pro wrestling - The Smark's Shoot Standings (S3) are where YOU let us know YOURS.
Cast a vote in the comments. Give us the four performers you think entertained or impressed the most in the last week, and feel free to talk about why. And/or vote for your top performer in our poll.
We also have the outcome of last week's voting, the results of which make up our annual competition for Performer of the Year.
Remember, the Standings are for the previous week's nationally televised and internet streaming pro wrestling shows - New Japan's Best of the Super Juniors, the June 6 episode of WWE Monday Night Raw, Tuesday's TNA Impact, Wednesday's Lucha Underground, WWE NXT TakeOver: The End... and ROH TV, Thursday's SmackDown, EVOLVE 62 & 63, and any other internet streaming wrestling that aired from June 5 - 11, 2016.
Make YOUR mark, smarks!
Not sure if there’s anything the Phenomenal One could do to not earn your votes, but a heel turn certainly didn’t do the trick.
Maybe this would...
- We were happy to see him back, but we were even more happy to see the Face That Runs the Place get stomped in his return. In addition to last week's winner, Nikki Bella's man and the rest of The Club collected enough votes to land in the weekly ten.
- Strange bedfellows in our tie for second place, where a F'n Machine who came just shy of slaying a monster and a piano player who put his brother through a table got the same amount of support.
- Said brother (Nero) also earned a good deal of love, with the help of his dirt bike.
- The Lasskicker just needs a chance to show up & wrestle and she's bound to get a lot of love from the Smarks who vote for these Standings.
- Which is pretty close to how it goes for a Prizefighter and Swiss Superman who'll be prepping to climb a ladder to grab a briefcase next week at this time.
The S3: 2016-17, Week 9
1. AJ Styles
2. (tie) Cage
2. (tie) Matt Hardy
4. John Cena
5. Becky Lynch
6. Kevin Owens
7. Jeff Hardy
8. Cesaro

10. Luke Gallows
Points in our weekly Standings determine our annual list - full details on rules and scoring HERE.
The 5 - 5 - 9 is representing well for a show without enough viewers to get in the poll (and remember, you can vote for anyone who appeared on a screen anywhere with a comment, but performers need to be on a show that reaches 50 million homes to get in the poll).
The S3 Performer of the Year - through the Week Ending June 4
1. AJ Styles - 88 points
2. Kevin Owens - 52
3. Roman Reigns - 39
4. Cesaro - 35.5
5. Cage - 26.5
6. Sami Zayn - 18.5
7. Enzo Amore - 18
8. (tie) Dean Ambrose - 17
8. (tie) Colin Cassady - 17
10. Miz - 13
A lot to unpack - especially on the WWE Developmental front. Let us try to help with our sections on promotions and shows like Raw, Impact, NXT, Smackdown, Lucha Underground, New Japan, EVOLVE, and ROH. Then give us your favorite performances of the week.
We'll crunch the numbers and see you back here next week!
