As you already know because you hung out in the live thread or at least read our recap of last night (June 10)’s EVOLVE 62 show, Tony Nese had an emotional reaction to his latest loss - this time to Fred Yehi.

Set to compete in the “Cruiserweight Classic Flashpoint” with Johnny Gargano, Drew Gulak, TJP & Lince Dorado, Nese is the only man in the elimination match who hasn’t already qualified for WWE’s upcoming tournament. Well, apparently NXT General Manager William Regal liked Tony’s moxie, because according to EVOLVE officials, he’s made the bout into a qualifier for Nese.
If he can win the match, he’s in the Cruiserweight Classic. If he can’t, he’s not. They’re long odds, but if Nese wants to turn his career around, he’s got his shot.
