Rumor Roundup (June 1, 2016): Goldberg WWE status, Bray Wyatt return, WWE brand split, more!

Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • The relationship between Goldberg and WWE is still shaky but the two sides may very well make a deal for one more major match in the future. Right now, however, the Observer notes the two sides haven't started negotiations but that could happen anytime.
  • PW Insider reports that Bray Wyatt is scheduled to return to WWE next week.
  • While Raw this week made it sound like WWE doesn't have any plans ironed out on the brand split, Dave Meltzer reports they do have plans in place, it's just unclear how much they have worked out already.
  • With the brand split upcoming, it could mean multiple NXT call ups here soon.
  • According to the Observer, the NXT Brooklyn show over SummerSlam weekend is still on despite Ticketmaster pulling it from listings. WWE will be updating it with new logos and information.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it.
