Lucha Underground on Twitter

The title changes we saw just last week are integral to tonight's episode.

At the top of the card is Cage, who played the long game with the Gift of the Gods when Chavo Guerrero stole his Aztec Medallion. Helping Chavito win the belt just so he could defeat him for it one-on-one, the F'n Machine announced his intention to utilize the Lucha Underground championship opportunity that comes with it just seconds after getting his arm raised.

Cage is having a hell of a year, but what will he be able to do against a Monster? Matanza Cueto put Pentagon, Jr. in a wheelchair and Mil Muertes in a coffin. Even if the Swolverine can handle the champ, will Dario allow his brother to lose?

Perhaps the Temple's proprietor has bigger problems. As we inch closer to the end of the season, Councilman Delgado's boss looms, the LAPD just arrested a man in his office, and Ian Hodgkinson's meds aren't working. Which doesn't even cover the mystery of Catrina...

Speaking of folks we haven't seen in a few weeks, Son of Havoc takes on Daga - who's probably still trying to figure out what game Kobra Moon is playing.

And then there's the new Trios champs. Jack Evans, PJ Black & Johnny Mundo (with Taya) employed some dirty tricks to take the belts from the Dream Team last week. Someone must have recognized that, since Rey Mysterio, El Dragon Azteca & Prince Puma are getting their rematch right away.

LU hasn't been afraid to hot potato their belts around this season, but with the Dragonslayer in peak form in all facets of the game...

...my money's on the champs.

See you tonight.
