WWE NXT preview (June 1, 2016): Ain't misbehavin'

WWE.com

It's the last episode from the May 19 Full Sail taping (spoilers for which are here) which will put the finishing touches on June's TakeOver. Here's what to expect from the show.

The Headliner

You've seen their matches in London, Dallas and highlights of the trilogy fight in Lowell, Massachusetts. You've been sold on their upcoming finale (?) at TakeOver: The End... with a house show brawl, a contract signing and a couple of amazing promo vids.

What's left to get you ready for Samoa Joe defending his NXT championship against Finn Bálor in a steel cage? How about the two former tag partners sitting down in the same room for a conversation with Corey Graves?

Even if the Savior of Misbehavior can keep them apart (and I bet that's the play, since we've seen them come to blows so many times already), Joe spits fire on his worst day with a microphone, and Finn has finally become interesting since losing the strap.

Seven days away from the live special, with no spoilers for this segment since it wasn't done at the taping? I'm tuning in for that - and I bet you do, too.

The Title Scene

With a win in last week's Triple Threat main event, Nia Jax is the new #1 contender for Asuka's Women's title. These ladies have stared each other in the eye a few times since the Empress of Tomorrow won the belt, with neither showing signs of backing down. Look for the champ to get a tune-up tonight, but otherwise, we're probably waiting for The End...

Tag champs American Alpha declared themselves the best duo in the ring ahead of their rematch with The Revival. Something tells me Dash & Dawson won't let that go unanswered, although an in-person showdown probably won't occur until June 8 (or this weekend's house shows).

Other stuff to keep an eye on:

- Austin Aries and Shinsuke Nakamura's match kicked off respectfully. Will it stay that way? A-Double gets a shot at frequent Swagsuke punching bag Elias Samson tonight.

- Momentum is building for Tommaso Ciampa & Johnny Gargano as they head toward the Cruiserweight Classic. They picked up a win against the debuting TM-61 last week... how much longer should we expect them to function as a team before they split to pursue individual glory?

- Speaking of the CWC, they started teasing Andrade "Cein" Almas - which is very exciting.

- They're not really gonna leave Bayley off a TakeOver card, are they?

NOTE: Spoilers are out there for these pre-taped broadcasts (including here), but many Cagesiders don't partake. If you are going to post or discuss spoilers for this show before they happen, or results of future shows, please use the spoiler bar in your comment.

See you tonight for NXT, Cagesiders!
