Speculating on the rumors surrounding pro wrestling is a favored pastime of many fans, perhaps second only to actually watching the matches. In this daily column, we take a look at the latest rumors being churned out by the pro wrestling rumor mill.

Important reminder: Rumors are just that -- rumors. None of this has been confirmed as legitimate news or fact, it's just circulating around the pro wrestling rumor mill. Remember, take it all with a grain of salt.

Rumors for the Day:

  • According to the Observer, the original finish for the Enzo & Big Cass vs. The Vaudevillains match at Payback was for the Dudley Boyz to cost the former team and that would have led to a match between the two at Extreme Rules.
  • PW Insider notes that there's been some talk of "integrating the Global Cruiserweight Series into WWE NXT TV tapings this summer." You can read more about that and the tournament's name change here.
  • An interesting rumor, coming from the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter: WWE has an unwritten rule not to hire any woman unless she's at least 20 years old.
  • Mark Henry isn't getting used on television right now because his contract is coming up and he has no plans to re-sign.

If you have heard of any interesting rumors that you'd like to add, feel free to post them in the comments section below. Just remember they are rumors and not confirmed as fact, so please take them as such. Have fun with it.
