If you're part of the small but loud world of pro wrestling on Twitter - or even if you just keep up with it via places like Cageside - you know about the furor caused by Ricochet and Will Ospreay's match last week in New Japan's Best of the Super Juniors (BoSJ) tournament.
A contingent dislike it. Represented by sixty-one year old Big Van Vader, the criticisms range from "I wish they'd sold more" to "THEY'RE RUINING WRESTLING".
Some love it. Notably every indy wrestler under the age of 30, but not exclusively. They praise the bout for its athleticism and point out things like "people criticized Randy Savage and Ricky Steamboat for the same thing" and "hey, not every match has to or should be like this".
Well, now you can go off more than just GIFs or illegal Daily Motion versions of the full match and decide for yourself.
The folks at New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) are hoping it will be your gateway drug to their NJPW World streaming service (like WWE Network, but the English announce table gets broken at big shows) and have provided the match for free on YouTube (the version of which you can watch above) and on their network.
Take 20 minutes, give it a look and let us know... Future of the form or psychology-free movez?
