Here's a place to check results and comment along with the latest airing of Lucha Underground in its regular Wednesday night at 8PM Eastern time slot on El Rey Network.
Geno will be keeping you up on of all the happenings in Boyle Heights here while the show airs. Bill Hanstock will also bring you a recurring reactions post every week after the show. In addition to a way for folks to keep up, this space is for you to rave and/or bitch about whatever goes down on the hottest new concept to hit pro wrestling in ages - during its initial broadcast!

Pentagon was telling Vampiro he's ready. Vampiro did not agree and when Pentagon challenged him to stop him, Vampiro did just that. "Don't ever question me again," he said. Pentagon fought out of that and worked the gimmick. CERO MIEDO. Vampiro said he could go to the Temple but he's not ready to face the monster.

Joey Ryan vs. Mascarita Sagrada
Matt Striker called Ryan "the transmitted disease of The Temple." While Famous B was doing the intro for Sagrada, Ryan kicked him in the head to get the match started. Ryan worked some comedy in the match, acting like he wasn't strong enough to slam Sagrada and then doing it and acting like he was the strongest human alive. Sagrada responded with a fireman's carry and a moonsault that got a two count.
Famous B distracted the referee so Sagrada could kick Ryan in the dick. Joey Ryan has a hulk penis, though, so Sagrada sold his foot while Ryan flexed. Not long after, Ryan used a tilt-a-whirl DDT to get the pin.

That's yet another loss for Mascarita. He was consoled by Famous B after.

They aired a promo for Taya, who said she sees confidence, dominance, strength, and power in herself. She beat up a bunch of dudes in a club before going out to ride off with Johnny Mundo. The tagline was "Taya, perfection has arrived to Lucha Underground."

King Cuerno was talking to Mil Muertes, still in the casket. He called himself the true king of the jungle.

Chavo Guerrero vs. Cage
This was for the Gift of the God's championship that Cage helped Chavo win after Chavo stole the medallion and got into the match for it. Cage did so because Dario Cueto had booked this match.
They sold this like a major money match on commentary, and the crowd was into it, but it was standard fare. Cage got a two count on a clothesline and then Chavo hit a sunset flip powerbomb in the corner that he followed up with a Frog Splash for a really close near fall. When he went for three amigos, Cage blocked it and powerbombed him into the turnbuckle before hitting Weapon X to win the title.

Right after, Cage said he was going to cash in the Gift of the God's title next week because he wants Matanza and the Lucha Underground championship.

Taya showed Jack Evans and PJ Black a big surprise. It showed Fenix taken out and Johnny Mundo as the new tag team partner. They played air guitar. Some Bill and Ted shit. LU is amazing.

Joey Ryan and Cortez Castro were rifling through Dario Cueto's office looking for evidence. Ryan stumbled across a bunch of cash and stole some of it. That's when Mr. Cisco showed up and said he was going to tell Dario. Ryan pulled a gun on him and he ran. Castro caught up to him and placed him under arrest.

Main event time.
PJ Black & Jack Evans & Johnny Mundo vs. Prince Puma & Dragon Azteca Jr. & Rey Mysterio
This was for the Trios championship.
A lot of good action from all involved, including a great hot tag to Mysterio, who still has a ton of fire at his age. They did some crazy spots that had commentary speechless, including Striker calling it "vibrant offense" while Vampiro asked if he knew what to call what was happening.
Puma had the match won for his team when Mundo pulled the referee out on the count. Mysterio was taken out with a low blow while the ref was down and out, then in the ring the heels used a bunch of cheating tactics with eye pokes and low blows to get the advantage. Puma got kicked in the dick a lot.
A new ref came in while Mundo was trying to get the pin on Puma but he kicked out. If the referee knows the other ref was pulled out, which he should considering he came from the back, why would this match just continue on? There is no good answer for that.
Meanwhile, Dragon Azteca Jr. got in on a hot tag and appeared to have the match won when Taya kept the referee distracted. That allowed Evans to get in and use a chair on Azteca Jr. and Mundo pinned him.
